Nvidia is at a pivotal technical level, with its shares retreating after testing resistance. A decisive break above resistance or below support could become an important signal for the broader market. $NVDA $MU $SKHY $SNDK $MRVL

Nvidia’s latest strategic move aims to establish compute as a new asset class. Six major Wall Street firms have agreed to create independent financing platforms targeting roughly $500 billion of AI infrastructure investment. Unlike traditional circular financing, most funding would come from external sources, reducing Nvidia’s direct financing exposure while potentially accelerating AI infrastructure spending.

Greater access to capital could significantly extend the AI buildout, benefiting Nvidia, memory suppliers and networking companies. However, the bigger unanswered question is whether companies purchasing this enormous amount of computing capacity will ultimately generate sufficient economic returns to justify the investment. Easier financing could prolong spending for years before that answer becomes clear, increasing both opportunity and systemic risk.

The market is also watching whether current earnings growth represents a temporary semiconductor cycle or a durable secular trend through 2028 and beyond. Meanwhile, Intel successfully raised more than $20 billion through a secondary offering priced at $95 per share, supporting sentiment around the semiconductor sector.

Attention now turns to key inflation data, with CPI due Wednesday morning and PPI Thursday. These releases could materially influence interest-rate expectations and the market’s increasingly bullish AI narrative.
